The programme is a combination of Nutrition, Exercise and Kinesiology - and what and when your body requires them. Nutrition is more than just what to eat, but eating for your metabolic type, with a focus on intermittent fasting. fasting - knowing when, as well as what to eat, and when to give your body rest and recovery. This helps to strengthen the body’s blood sugar mechanisms so it can deal with food and stress more efficiently, helping it repair rather than feel it has to ‘hold on’ to weight. Don't worry, this programme is structured but not strict; you will get ‘free days’ and fasting is only for part of the other days.
Weight loss is never a one-size fits all game. Every body is different, and every one of us has different reasons for holding on to excess weight. At Suna we love healthy bodies and we know that often the reasons for retaining excess weight include less obvious reasons like sitting too much, impaired adrenal function, psychological and emotional levers (stress, comfort, not wanting to 'miss out' on treats). We use Kinesiology to understand the triggers - survival, emotional, psychological and physical - that control how your body handles weight loss.
Many methods of dieting and weight loss can end up making people sick and fat in the long run. Traumatising the body with too much exercise and too little food may get short term weight loss results but mid to long term causes damage.
